Once the study prior to the choice of the location of the station was completed (carried out by ISSeP and AwAC in collaboration with the City of Liège), the so-called "traffic" reference station has been operational in Liège since 01 June 2021.
The site, which was chosen according to well-defined criteria derived from the European directive 2008/50/EC (for more information, in french, click here), is located on Avenue Maurice Destenay, very close to the Vertbois park.
While waiting for the installation of the definitive station (project in progress...), a mobile laboratory is measuring the main traffic-related pollutants, namely nitrogen oxides (NOx), fine particles (PM10 and PM2.5), "black carbon" (soot carbon) and carbon monoxide (CO).
