As part of the Greater Region Summit's Environment working group, the Air Quality sub-working group brings together the institutional stakeholders in ambient air quality from the 5 regions of the Greater Region, which includes Wallonia, Luxembourg, Saarland, Rhineland-Palatinate and the former Lorraine region (Greater East Region).

In collaboration with the Geographic Information System of the Grande Région (SIG-GR), this group presents an overview of air quality in 2023 in this cross-border area. The information comes from the five air quality monitoring networks in these regions: the Agence Wallonne de l'Air et du Climat (AWAC), the Administration de l'Environnement du Luxembourg, the Ministère de l'Environnement de la Sarre, the Landesamt für Umwelt de Rhénanie-Palatinat and ATMO Grand Est.
